Cyanotype Fabric Fun

Cyanotype Fabric Fun
The cyanotype is also known as a sun print, and it creates the most beautiful patterns using nothing but sunlight. It’s the original blue print! Abby will be bringing lots of pre-coated fabric to experiment with, as well as her embarrasingly large collection of shapes and letters and knick knacks to arrange on said fabric to create the aforementioned fabulous design.
Want an idea of what you can make? Look at those photos! Repeat camper and art teacher extraordinaire, Ali, made that gorgeous patchwork piece with nothing but cyanotype fabric, and it is perfection. There is also Abby’s crazy little camp abbydid piece that was made on a windy day under poor conditions. In otherwords, it is characteristic of Abby in every way. So, whether you’re like Ali or like Abby, you’re sure to have a great time.
At $2.50 a sheet, you can afford to mess up and play and experiment and have fun!
Reach out to Abby with any questions you may have at alangdon@fuse.net
She can also put you in touch with Ali, who will be returning to camp, and is graciously granting us use of her detailed worksheets. Thanks, Ali!
