There are few projects more therapeutic than junk journaling, so it’s a natural fit for camp abbydid. A junk journal is a handmade book that utilizes recycled media, such as clippings, photos, art papers, ribbons, and whatever else strikes your fancy. Writing, drawing, and journaling are also often incorporated. Junk Journals are wonderful repositories for memories, dreams, wishes, and wandering thoughts.

Beth will be the camp counselor guiding us through this delightful process, where we will work with chipboard albums that can have lots of extra pages added between the tabbed dividers. She is thoughtfully supplying us with a smorgasbord of materials to supplement these kits. You, of course, are encouraged to bring any and all materials you’d like to include as well!

The Junk Journal kit includes:

(1) 7.5”x6.5” Chipboard Album with 8 pages with Rounded Tabs

(1) black sharpie

(2) extra chipboards

(1) glue/tape runner

…and an unlimited pass to the ephemera bar, where lots of paper and fiber goods will be available, including art papers, doilies, doodads, and more, to make your journal absolutely your own.

Scissors and stamping supplies will be handy as well.
