This symphony of sumptuousness is for the dopamine maximalist. It is simply glorious in its explosion of magenta, fuchsia, and purple. Where do I even begin? Front and center is a Charles Lubin Company blossom, the last of my collection from a lost icon of American silk flower making. That showstopper is framed with dark purple dupioni silk ribbon flowers, curled biot feathers, and backed by feather butterflies I trimmed, painted and sewed onto velvet ribbon-covered wire. And then, just because I’m a big believer in “more is more,” I added not one but TWO sprays of veiling, in slightly different shades and textures.

It all sits upon a 12 sinamay base, securely sewn onto a one inch wide headband with a metal comb added for extra security. This piece stands just under 9 inches tall, headband excluded.
