The Beehive. A literal take on, you guessed it, the beehive. This hat is for someone with a sense of humor, someone who enjoys being the talk of the party, someone who is an avid advocate for bees. It was fun to make and it will be loads of fun to wear.

I created this masterpiece using knotted sisal straw and adorning it with sequin and beaded appliqué bees. A certain Arrested Development scene replayed in my head 1,000 times while working on it. You know the one. These five little bees gently float around their home on monofilament.

The hat has two layers of gimp ribbon for comfort around the inner hat band. It is worn around the head using elastic and a sewn in metal comb. Your hair can then be arranged over the elastic to hide it. This is my personal favorite method of wearing fascinators, as it gives the most options and is easiest to arrange.

Your fabulous new accessory includes the stamped metal abbydid tag and will arrive nestled in a lovely silver box and a sheet of acid free tissue for storage.
